Up here in the mountains the older places all have at least one room where one is not certain what it is. It is in the buildup and is a quasi-basement as it is halfway underground. It is a bit cold down there in the winter. Currently it is 60 and dropping. I had the heater on while I was working down there otherwise it would be colder. This is the second largest room in the house but I am not sure what to call it. There is a bathroom, the sea themed one. It can't be a bedroom as it can't be sealed off from the rest of the house. It is open at the top of the circular stairway. But anyway here it is.
Before I started cleaning it up it looked like something from hoarders. There was a just a path to get to the bathroom. I was using it as a giant junk drawer. The theme down there is mid-century modern, goth and country cutesy. The butterfly wall is the goth part. Seems to have turned out well although I still have a GI Joe jeep on the floor.
I really like that green sewing machine with matching chair and the spiral stairs.
It’s looking good.
Really good organization here fort, and I totally love that red stepstool it is a classic and goes for big bucks today
OH, if only I could do something similar with my own 'basement' but alas it remains in the 'giant junk drawer' condition instead...no bathrm down there (or stairs up into the rest of my house, they're outside) but it does have a vent to the house HVAC so stays more stable that way. I'd havta rent a storage unit to clear it out enough to use it for anything else, and might really need to do that anyway given how much 'new crap' has showed up in my carport instead, recently...??? <sigh><groan>
Where I live, we'd call it a storeroom, for things going on the next garagesale. Or bulky waste ...
The room of wings!
Veeeeerrrrry kool Stuff
Thank you very much Watchsearcher. I like the spiral stairs too.
Thank you very much Newfld. I am organized but messy. I have 3 stools like that.
Thank you very much AO. I have much more work to do in the GI Joe area. Does anyone want a 60 gallon fish tank?
Thank you very much Golgatha. I still don't know what to call it.
