These I picked up at the last Rose Bowl Flea Market before the walls fell. One would think I would have but the patches on the shirt but I am an essential employee and have not had much spare time. Now as for what everything is.....
We have one of my favorites, the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader patch. That one is 1972-89. The Star rank patch is the same vintage. An Assistant Senior Patrol Leader would probably have a high rank such as Star. The Librarian position patch is the subdued style used after 1989. The Librarian keeps track of the troops pamphlets and all those merit badge books.
Photo 2 shows the backings. The first two are twill and the last one has a plastic backing. That is not an indicator of age though.
Photo #3 shows the council patch that came with the shirt. It is the Viking Council of Minnesota, a very sharp looking patch.
Photo #4 is the shirt. It is a long Sleeved Oscar de la Renta shirt from the 1980s-90s.
I like putting together the shirts with patches. Everything has to fit logically. Perhaps I will make him an Eagle.
