This 2" goldtone bull brooch has two green rhinestone eyes and very detailed face & "necklace", by Castlecliff (1918-1977). Beside a 3 1-2" aqua glass Taurus the bull constellation plate made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cape Cinema playhouse astrological ceiling mural in 1980 by the Pairpoint Glass Co of Sagamore MA with orig label

I love that bull brooch! He's very proud and bright eyed looking. I imagine him peering over a farmer's gate somewhere and the plate is a really lovely and calm colour(Kinda like a swimming pool?!) :D

Thanks Lauren for the sweet compliments, yes the brooch seems very alive looking with those big eyes (one is somewhat hidden, you have to turn the head a bit sideways), and you are perfectly right that round plate is certainly swimming pool colored, perhaps it attracted me into thinking that summer is very near!
Great compliment Hoot thank you very much, so glad you enjoyed the combo here. The eyes of a bull are always so intriguing and intelligent in the bull ring, they stare down the matador and "size him up" before they charge, it is just really awful that they kill them for the sport you know

Thanx Ken for the wonderful comment I always loved this Castlecliff bull head brooch but missed out on getting it a few times & finally got lucky. Yes it is a gentler look than the fierce one most bulls have

Yes Maureen I totally agree the bull looks more like a cow esp Elsie, good call! Always nice to find another CW Taurus, your sign ruled by Venus is the lover of beauty with the eye for beauty and you certainly have that with your gorgeous collection :)
