One of the most distressing aspects of collecting Loetz Cameo is the staggering number of pieces for which no PN's can be found. It is easier to find them for the smaller pieces, which usually appear clustered in a few pages, nut not for the larger ones. My latest, according to dealer description: "10 1/4" tall - Made at Loetz, Austria circa 1920. Beautiful condition with lovely raised flowers and cute, interesting bugs. NO scratches, chips, cracks or repairs - SUPERB. condition. The base is 3 1/4" in diameter." I might add a distinctive marker for Loetz: the connective "doughnut" between the body and the foot, which also determines its having no pontil. And, of course, the bugs. Colors: chestnut over mandarin.
Very pretty!
I am told this is "Orange Opal"
The most magnificent colour. A beautiful piece of glass work.
