      I'm not trunk expert but I am good on antiques. For me the interior of a trunk is the most important as that tends to be missing. And that looks like a great interior. Outside looks good. Not sure the trunk guys would be into it as it is a fairly common exterior.

      LATE 1880's, alligator tin patented around 1885 or 86, #one latches patented 1878, pressed tin slat clamps patented 1880 by C.A. Taylor, pretty common trunk made by hundreds of trunk makers at the time, without a label hard to say who made it,
