Santa's Village has recently reopened after being closed for over 20 years. It is open but still a work in progress. It is near Lake Arrowhead probably a couple miles as the raven flies. Actually I think all the birds fly in circles aside from the migraters. Skyforest is one word. One postcard has it as Sky Forest which is wrong. Skyforest has a population of 400 and has a couple antique stores and restaurants but is part of the San Bernardino Mountain communities as is Twin Peaks. I personally know Santa Claus even though he is moving to Costa Mesa.
Postcard #1 is the entrance to Santa's village as it appeared in 1955. Still looks like that
Postcard #2 is a monstrous Jack-In-The-Box and I think that describes it. 6th layer of hell has that too. Haven't been there since it reopened. I should go when they have a locals day again.
Cool Brian, we always went to the Santa's Village off Hwy 17 in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz County, California. It was normally when we were going to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and was a stretch your legs stop, that cost our Parents a few more dollars, just to stop the 5 of us kids from whining. Saw Santa, got a Candy Cane, rode on the Train, and off to the Beach! No time wasted, time well spent! :^D I never knew that Santa had other places that he had to get to! Thanks for showing! :^)
Thank you very much Bill. Oddly enough this Santa's Village is off Highway 18. Right now they are working on a fancy new parking lot. It is supposed to be a major theme park eventually.
Congratulations on your personal relationship with Santa Claus.
Congratulations also in living so close to iconic places.
Thank you very much racer4four. It is my pleasure.
