    I happened upon this knife at a yard sale. I really cannot find any info on what type and region. I think it may be Mexican ? Its heavy and the sheath is pretty ornate.

      Hopefully someone can ID these. I had a similar one that was made in Asia or Philippines . I just noticed at end of chains are what appear to be metal dress snaps :-) very cool looking for display

      I would guess indonesia... shows islamic influence, but east indies blade type...phillipines has similar blades, but not fine metal work on sheath n pommel... like that...
