This is my first Silver Coin! It was about 6” under the ground. I LOVE these dimes! They’re beautiful

I agree ,it is a very beautiful design

It is
Not the Roman god mercury
but a winged Phrygian cap
it was minted in Denver Colorado
His design ran from 1916 to 1945
The Roosevelt replaced this
