Here are two oldish (1950's-60's?) wooden rulers. The smaller is 12" (35cm) long and is unmarked otherwise, it also features a protractor/angle gauge on its backside. The larger is 18" long, marked as made by "Strateline" (in U.S.A.) and actually has a small greenish plastic (?) 'edge' to its tapered and graduated side, presumably to allow it to better actually draw straight lines...there's nothing at all on its backside.
In life how do we measure up??? I'm glad I was born when I was as I have seen the world I love and hate!!Maybe I won't be around to see the world that will be coming soon!!!
Sorry about being negative but give an inch and take a mile!! I hope one day we can become one race!! HUMAN!!! Stay Safe!!

I love the old wood rulers too! I always used that plastic "edge" (some are metal), to cleanly cut paper!! May not be what it was designed for, but it works for me!!
