    AnythingOb…
    (1778 items)

The whole thing is about 9" long, and "goldtone". (but probably not real, nor even plated) Its main length of kinda fancy chain is 6-1/2" long, with a securely clamping lever-operated thing on one end, a 'buttonhole bar'(?) at its other, then a tiny little facsimile "key" hanging below that on a short bit of plainer chain. The 'key' itself is interesting in that it is shaped as a rather distinctive brand (trademark?) name of currently available locks and keys -- but though it is 'decorated', does *not* actually bear that brand name (nor any other info/markings) whatsoever.

Anybody got a guess (or even a real answer?!) for *what it IS*...??? <beg>

The T goes in your Vest button hole, and the Clip holds your Pocket Watch, that you put in your Vest Pocket, and the Key is a little Decoration! :^)

The clip is meant to attach to fabric, such as to the edge of one of a man’s vest pockets. Then the chain would drape over (in a “swag” manner) so the bar goes into a vest button hole.
The key would hang outside as a vest ornament- however, I’m wondering if your item has been altered a little.
It may have originally had another chain which would drape from that buttonhole over to the opposite vest pocket and have a “dog clip” to attach to the pocket watch which would be handily kept in the vest pocket.

I’m sure that key hanging there front and center for all to see created quite a conversation piece...a bit of mystery (key to the vault of valueables, key to the mistress’s door, key to her heart, etc...).

      It’s a lovely item!

Oh, one other remark....the 2 different styles of chain lead me to think it’s a bit altered...maybe someone had the decorative key and a piece of chain and combined it with the vest clip/chain/bar piece.
