Handmade souvenir knife from Mexico.
My memory isn't great but I think that is a Troke's pen knife probably/possibly made in Scotland from the mark.
Re: flasharue, & fhrjr2, how and or why do you believe this knife is what you say? How can I tell it is what each of you say? Mexican or Scottish how do you tell?
There is a similar post under antique daggar, in tools and hardware. Check it out , has different but similar design and mark but different stamp? Weird.
First of all I did exactly what you could have done. I researched the mark, then a fixed blade knife with that mark. The term Troke's that I use is from memory having collected knives for a number of years. A Troke is an individual who will sell or swap something with another person. The mark and the term both originated in Scotland. Note I said probably/possibly made in Scotland.
The name on the blade says MEXICO
Interesting, I enlarged the image of the mark and used google image and it found the same crude mark as this associated with Scotland and peddlers.
You could probably/possibly find one with a CHINA mark on it too! :^D
It's a cool little Knife find, just don't get caught with it in Portland! :^O
Thanks for posting pennypearl276, and Welcome to CW, where we all like to learn about things that we Collect! Stay Safe, and Wear a Mask! :^)
I agree with the mask Bill. Things are really bad here in Florida. I have masks and a full face shield but still seldom venture out. Many will resist the mask until someone close to them dies, then they will grow up.
Thank you all so much for all of your very helpful information. As you can tell I'm new to the group but excited to share some of my finds. As for the masks, I'm with you. I take it very seriously. I dont need to loose anyone, I actually practice common sense regularly. Yall stay safe yourselves out there wherever yall are in the world. I'll do the same.
