A different take on an Art Nouveau vase that I posted recently. It is reposted here to simply be enjoyed as a thing of beauty that has endured over many years of change & upheaval in the world. I hope that it can continue to endure, & be enjoyed for many years to come.
I too have endured my own changes & upheavals. Well, haven't we all in our own way? That's simply what life is. It's not always a picnic, & you have to make the best of it when the going is good. Having come out of the darkness, I am determined to stay in the light for as long as I can. I'm here to shine my light, & to take a positive view as much as possible.
Nonetheless, despite having put up with rather a lot in my life, I am not prepared to be denied the right to be who I am. It is a simple matter of respect & good manners.
I am passionate about art glass, & my collection. It has been a constant in my life, a source of pleasure & meaning. My collection is a big part of who I am, a person of aesthetic sensibility. In my earlier years I was often misunderstood, perhaps because I was afraid to be my real self. Now that I've been around the block a few times, I brook no nonsense in that particular regard. I'm not your average Joe, but I am what I am! :-)
In that spirit, I will sign off with my dignity intact...
Marin, I have the utmost respect for you as a fellow human being. From my perspective, you are a genteel young man; your fine manners and good tastes are evident.
Your collection of beautiful glass is outstanding. Your willingness to share your knowledge shows your generosity.
It saddens me to know you have been treated unfairly and badly.
You have my love and friendship from afar,
Patricia

I can't imagine how hard your journey has been Marin, and I'm sure the hurts continue. I guess it's easy for me to say ignore the terrible things others might say, they all must hurt. Your strength and self belief has got you to here and I hope this is the best and happiest part of life for you.
