Oh my eyes are dizzy with them, super collection Jean. It would be hard and very expensive to buy all these again. Thanks for showing them, its great to have something beautiful to look at.

Just great Instone rings Jean, and looking great on your lovely hand. I could never photograph my hands and rings look poor on the old battered things, so well done you!
The moonstone on your index finger is interesting to me. It has a slightly different look to the others in style although I know it must be Instone because you know your stuff.

Hi Sue, I’ve had these rings for a while. I’ve just bought another ring, similar to the silver two leaved Cornelian and Green Agate ring. I was lucky you can pick them up reasonably cheap, you just have to know what your looking for. Usually it’s better looking through the auction on eBay, there usually some type of Bernard Instone piece. Thank you for your comment.

Hi Karen, it Is interesting you mentioned the silver moonstone ring, yes I do see what you mean. It is completely different to the others for sure. The reason I know about this ring is I saw the same designed ring being sold on Etsy, many years ago, If you look at the leaves they are Bernard Instone.
While I’ve been in lockdown I bought some gel nail polish and a machine, it’s taken a while but I think I’ve mastered it, I got fed up with my horrible nails.
It’s nice to hear from you, I know you like Bernard Instone, I’m planning on more posts in the future. Stay safe.

Hi Jean, second row, on the right. Is that an Instone ring? I think it has a ceramic plaque in it (I have one of these myself). Ta.

BTW, the moonstone ring looks silver dipped. Try Kyra's egg trick, might mellow that down a bit.

      Nice group, and nails!
Agree with Jewels1900, the moonstone on your index has been dipped, all color patina is gone, will be highly improved with the hard boiled egg in plastic bag method :-D

Hiya Jewels1900, I’ve put the link above which I based my theory that the ring in this post is similar to the gold one which is marked for Bernard Instone.
Thanks Jewels1900 and Kyra for the advice in putting that ring with a hard boiled egg, I love experiments. Can you tell me more about about silver dipping?
    11. Jewels1900 Jewels1900, 4 years ago
Ahh, yes. Look at that. I'll dig out mine tomorrow for a comparison but looks pretty spot on on the face of it. Silver dip is a cleaning fluid, as the name suggests you dip your jewellery in it & it strips all the dirt (& patina) off it. It gives jewellery that dull whiteish look and sometimes leaves a yellowish tinge. It's the sulphur in the egg that will tarnish your silver (its in the yolk). Then you can clean it back. Sometimes it can look a bit brownish but if you polish it back you should get more of a patinated look.

Right Jewels1900, I’ll do that. I think that is why Karen throught it was different to the other rings?

You always offer such insightful posts on your blog. What is an excellent jewelry box or storage option that you would suggest?
