Eli Rowe, my beloved grandson with German Machine gunners armor . He helped me at a military show , so I let him play. All pieces original, and assembled over 45 years. Helmet M16 (?) with plate brought back from vet , acquired in Greenville Michigan in the early 1970's by Danny Updike. Breast Plate from Shipshewana flea market auction, found by good friend Easy Russ. Turtle plates bought on evil-bay, note color difference from different sourced out manufactures. Last picture of vintage German wearing armor.
That is a really great piece. Or set of pieces. That is not something one runs across often. elanski would like this I think.
I had 2 Maxim 08-15 WWI machine guns when I was a teenager. One had the 4 leg sled mount & the other a bipod (non deactivated). Gave them to the museum because I had no space for them. Wish I had them now !
fortapache , Thank you, When I bought the helmet in the 1970's from my picker friend Danny, I had always hope to find the other pieces. I stumble across the breast plate from another picker friend Russ with in the last two years, he had just returned from the flea market where he found this and I was in the right spot at the right time. . The turtle plates off evil-bay as stated. Make a great display.
