The COPO series by Chevrolet was to drop the 427 engine into cars a bit too small but they could make it fit. Normally if you wanted a 427 Chevrolet wanted you to buy a Corvette but they could be bought The thing is though that insurance companies charged very high premiums for the COPO cars premiums as in equal to the car payments so very few were made. The 1:1 version of this sold for $162,000. If I paid that for a 1968 Nova it would have to have $150,000 in the trunk but this is a car for hard core collectors. Those of you who are collectors of this and that know their are items that hard core collectors of that item go nuts for. Luckily for me I collect a lot of stuff so when I see a holy grail item that goes for crazy money I can find something else to buy.
Luckily this sells for $7.99 so no need to sell a body organ.
Thank you very much valentino97. Haven't seen those but I will check them out. I just watch Counting Cars.
I would have no problem spending that kind of money for a rare car like this . Never say never....dream big....work hard.... :)
Thank you very much Hoot. I understand how this goes. I know Tim Allen has the Camaro version. But for that money I would go for a 63 Corvette as I am shallow.
