    Quad-Fold Coors Beer Bottle Opener

I have had this for a very long time. Not even sure where I got it..probably a garage sale. This is more of utilitarian item. Because of that, it has wear and signs of overpolishing. And for me that's okay it shows that it's an honest item.

**Vaughan U.S.A. developed a technologically advanced new (circa 1950) tool - the "Quad Fold."
But WAIT, this is a Canco! The patent date of just under 2 million dates to 1935. I'm assuming that is the Canco brand patent?

I believe that CanCo was American Can Company.

I have never seen this particular folding Coors opener before and a few quick searches reveal no information.

So I know your asking..what are the other folds?
"Quad-Fold" is 4 openers in one:
    Taps beer and juice cans
    Opens crown-capped bottles
    Opens friction-capped jars
    Cuts bottle seals

      dav2no1, Cool.

I guess I'm seeing this for the first time because Newfld brought it back to the top with a love. :-)

Some more rabbit holes to fall into (if that's your idea of a good time):

      dav2no1, I missed this earlier.

American Can Company is name checked in the patent:

      To remove any further ambiguity:

      *snip*

The can company [American Can Company], often referred to as Canco

Thanks for your tireless research! It's much appreciated. I like to provide as much information as I can provide to help other collectors in the future. And of course to satisfy my own curiosity..
