It was just sticking out of a bag in the garbage one night, about 15 years ago. It looks to be a child craft, made by a little girl, probably in the 40s. I have an idea of who may have made it, since that same week a neighbor passed. She was in her early 60s, so my guess is it was hers and her DIL got rid of the "old lady's" stuff. So sad.
It is "embroidered" with white cotton ribbon, making the daisy petals, and yellow embroidery thread for the details.
One stitch = one petal.
Very sweet indeed! Great that you saved it! It is a treasure to find beautiful things that has been made by hand. All that time someone put in.
