This Victorian vase caught my attention me due to the distinctive petal shaped top. It is made from a single layer of pale yellow - green glass, & measures 10.5 cm tall, 11 cm across the top rim, & 6 cm across the base, which has a rough, snapped pontil mark.
Petal shaped top rims like this are typically attributed to Thomas Webb & Sons. However I am not 100% certain about this one.
It has a weak glow under UV light, despite the brilliant, almost luminous colour in daylight.
Makes an awesome cloche!
Something about green!..do love it, and this is beautiful!..
I wouldn't have thought Victorian!
I believe you of course, but it looks so much more modern to me. 60s even.
Many thanks, Bambus1920 - interesting concept, too!
Green sure is good! Much appreciated, Penny!
Amazing how funky those Victorian folks were - organic, artisan, & kinda gothic, too!
