I have a sort of relation to this piece as it was made by my god-father's father. He was an old school wealthy person with manners most people have never heard of.
This has a magnet on the underside to stick to a car dashboard. That wouldn't work now. These are for putting out a cigarette which everyone smoked back then. Every car had an ashtray so not sure how helpful this was b ut then I have never tried it. But the main point is that it looks nice. Plus it is Smokey Bear. Smokey Cat is own my lap so I need to look up the size. It is about 1 1/2" wide.
