tray bought at auction 50 years ago. It is attached to the back and the attachments are made of wood. Have not ever taken it out of the frame for fear of breaking the small wooden pegs that hold it in the frame. From the pictures can someone tell me a little about this painting which seem to be carved into the sky.
    thank you

i thought it was a BAIZI scene ( 100 boys scene)

because the lONGCHUANG ( dragon boat ) is geared up for DuanWU ( festival)

there is a drum on the boat to protect and commemorate the death of the hero Qu Yuan, the drum is also for keeping the way away the bad spirits , Qu Yuan droned himself to protest against corruption

      just a guess
