    This is an antique Stromberg Carlson phone generator I picked up for 20 bucks it was froze up when I got it but I tore it down cleaned it all up and it works as good as new

      How do you know it works? Did you shock yourself? Haha. We used to do this with the old field phone when I was a kid.

      Yes I did shock myself for the fun of it but originally I used a bolt on meter but yes it works great

      That's a *really* nice example, especially given its original oak box, which once might or not have been part of a larger general old telephone set. (others here beside me can no doubt offer more exact knowledge about it in that respect?) GREAT SCORE for $20!! <applause>

      The things are indeed way-fun playtoys for the 'electrissically inclined' sorta person...SO many rather amusing things 'ya can now do with 'em, beyond whatever their original manufacturers ever intended them to be. Mine is here:
