This is an early art deco clock manufactured by the New Haven Clock Co., sitting on top of the clock is an early J. B. Hirsch figure of a Harlequin girl having a good time. She originated in the late teens as a bookend with a Jester companion. I call the bookends "Pierrot and Columbine" after the European story. Hirsch made two varieties of this figure, in one she is playing castanets and on the other she is raising a beer stein. This figure is missing part of her ivorine arm, I believe she lost it in a fall as the alabaster ball near her feet is wonky.
The clock movement is a quartz movement, it will be replaced with a period correct one.
Very nice
