One aspect of toy collecting is missing parts and finding missing parts. I had the model on the right which had the nameplates on the side but no hose or ladder for the roof. I found one with the ladder and hoses but it had no nameplates. The nameplate says "AIRPORT CRASH TENDER", there is one on each side. Anyway I have combined the two for a complete MB 63 Foamite Crash Tender. This is really exciting stuff for a toy collector.
The box seen in photo #3 didn't come with either. It is just there for looks. I have another complete model inside it. Now the white plastic pieces come off easily so I am very careful with them. You don't want to carry them across carpet or other places where the pieces could be lost. So I got one of my handy display cases so now it is safe.
Next week is a very exciting removals van.
Only other collectors would understand your excitement.
For me it’s labels. Glass with labels. Simple bits of sticky paper excite me.
Thank you very much racer4four. I understand completely.
Made it to #3.
