The Harrach 'Hekla' décor is one of my favorites. It appeared in 1902, the shape of my vase is PN=1854/2 (1901). Other décors applied to same shape are eg 'Moravia' and 'Corde' shown on pages 309.367 and 310.368 in the monograph 'From Neuwelt to the Whole World 300 Years of Harrach Glass', ed, Jan Mergl. My vase is blown from the top out of colourless glass and shaded by a highly iridescence to a yellowish tone. The wonderful engraved hanging Peonia flower is outlined and shaded by matte gold, as are the top rim and the handles, too. The lower part is internally décorated by pulled green and red-liver opale glass patches. The fotos cannot really show the full beauty and the actually high degree of irisation of this vase. It stands H=20.0, D=13.5 cm.

kairomalte, Such a fantastic vase! You write that it is blown in a colourless glass... and when finished it has all these magnificent colours ! Wow it´s unbelievable.
May I please ask; It is shaded to this yellowish tone. How did they do that?
