Too much time on my hands lately so I’m examining my collection of unusual rocks I’ve found around my own property or near by.

This fossil was found among a huge “bale” of flat rocks I bought to face a retaining wall. I do not know where the rocks I bought were collected but considering transportation costs, they likely came from SE part of US.
    It measures 8” X 12” X 0.5”.
It has raised figures on both sides which look like worms or baby snakes.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about it.
    Thanks for having a look!

These are worm tracks made in mud which later turned into rock. They don't contain actual worms just their trails.

Thanks ho2cultcha, for leaving a comment. I wish the pictures could show better the “tactile quality”….there are ridges and depressions in the stone….I think a snail would only leave a slime trail on the surface.

Thanks apostata, I appreciate your input….you gave me my first smile of the day.

Thank you to everyone for taking a look and leaving a >Love<
