Unique example of a passport used to escape Europe during the war. Issued on August 19th 1939 in Warsaw, it was then carried with the holder until his arrival to Kuibyshev, 1000 km east of the capital Moscow. Kuibyshev was the war-time capital of the USSR from 1941 to 1943. We can locate inside British & Persian visas from 1942 and arrival to Lydda airport by plane (!) as well. Passport was extended in the USSR by the personal secretary of the Polish ambassador at the time Aleksander Mniszek.
