Does anyone else remember a “by mail” craft club from the early 1970s?
Once you signed up and paid a fee, the club would mail you a kit of their choice about once a month containing parts and instructions to make some craft project.
It was a fun little surprise every month.
These are 2 of those projects.

I’ve had this chicken hanging in the kitchen of every house I’ve lived in since the ‘70s.
It used to have a little white feather lying at the chicken’s feet beside the corn kernels - I need to find a replacement for it.
    It measures roughly 6 X 12 X 1.5”.

The other thing was called an “Ecology Box”....
I think it came with the oval picture of flowers which had to be cut out and it came with the 2 wooden mice with leather tails and ears and bead eyes.
If I remember correctly, the crafter had to furnish whatever was put in the compartments.

I gave the finished Ecology Box to my mom; she kept it hanging on the wall of her kitchen for 50 years!!
Looks like everything held up well except the rice deteriorated and/or fell into the compartment below.

There’s were fun to make back then and still give me a bit of a sense of satisfaction having them.
