This is my favorite ceramic/porcelain piece, it stays out all year long. It is very finely detailed. It is a lamp base, I bought a lamp pole and ceramic shade to turn it back into a lamp only to discover, it just doesn't look right. The detail is so great on it that some of the snow by the sleigh runners and horses hooves looks like it is melted. It is labelled "Germany" above a number 14230 with Schneider's makers mark with Dep under it.
