My grandmother started Southern Plate Glass & Paint Company in 1928 in Ocala, Florida. These signs have been there since that time. I've been told they are made of porcelian. I don't know enough about them other than they are really cool! Signs are not made like this anymore. If anyone can give me information on how old they might be, I'd appreciate it!

There may be a manufacture date either painted or stamped on the outside surface, or possibly a plate stamped with the info on it elsewhere, possibly inside the cabinet. There should be an access panel somewhere on the sign for when/ if someone had to work on it.
Very very cool, thanks for sharing

Looks like the diamond-shaped plate on the horizontal sign has a maker ID on it...

Any old spray paint left in those stores. I collect spray paint cans and related items, and those are the types of signs I love to see when walking into a store. Beautiful, just beautiful....
