Not actually a Mercedes but it is a Benz. This is a 1910 Bez Limousine and quite the way to arrive in style. It had a 4 cylinder 4950cc engine and was considered quite advanced. It could almost reach 60 mph. 60 mph was considered unsafe even in the 1950s although almost every car could go faster than that. It was a mile a minute oh my.
This model was in the catalog from 1965 through 1973. Plus a rerelease in 1985. It was sold in this cream color from 1965-1968. It was green in 1969. After that metallic green and red in 1985.
The box on this is an E Box, the information is a bit hazy on Yesteryears. Luckily on the end flap it says "New Model" so that puts this example at 1965. I believe in 1968 it came in a window box.
Have a few more die cast cars to post. All of them are pretty good so stay tuned.

Interesting history. My Dad's first car when he was 11 years old in 1926/7 was a Stutz Bearcat that had been wrecked and had no body on it, just the frame, running gear and seats. He lived on a farm so had grown up working on farm machinery and motors. That is the year he started smoking, too, so he would drive the back roads in Ralls County, MO in the Stutz smoking homemade cigars. I think it could technically have gone a bit faster than 60 miles an hour.... Not sure where he got it. It might have been a hand me down from one of his older brothers. Too late to ask him as he died in 1998.

Thank you very much kwqd. That is an interesting story. There were advantages to growing up on a farm apparently.
