More from my exciting road trip in Arizona. I stayed at the El Trovatore Motel in Kingman on Route 66. Aside from its theme rooms its other claim to fame is that it has the world's largest Route 66 map. It might not be the most detailed but at 206 feet it is the longest. Hopefully I got the right photos. I took a lot of photos, the entire motel is covered with these murals.
The photo I selected cover the section of Arizona I travelled plus a bit further east.
It starts at Oatman which is famed for Wild Burros that we shall see later and Kingman which is the You Are Here.
Next is my room which is the John Wayne room. Seligman is one of my favorite places and then there is the Grand Canyon. I would have put Williams in there. That is the gateway to the Grand Canyon.
The last section goes through the desert and ends in Gallup New Mexico. That is the section that has Winslow. There is a corner there. Lots of roadside rock and fossil shops the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert and more.
Next in the road trip tour will be Oatman which is very exciting.

mom and dad used to tow the fireball trailer to the Grand Canyon with all the kids loaded.

Got a few of those "where the hell is Seligman?" orange bumper stickers around the house. Just happens to be my last name.

I'm impressed that a Californian is recognizing and showing an interest in the rest of the country.

bb2 sadly that is in Arizona. Sadly CA doesn't care too much about their stretch of Route 66.
