Hi everyone!!
I recently acquired this set of cast iron penguin bookends. These were made by Creations Co. in the 1930's. They were in very poor condition when I acquired them. So, I cleaned them up and repainted them to their original glory. These are fairly heavy and measure 7 3/4" tall by 4 3/8" wide. These were also produced as a doorstop. Not sure why, but the doorstop version carries a much higher value than these bookend versions.
There was also a very similar version of these penguin bookends produced by Syroco. But, I believe the Syroco version is made of wood, not cast iron.
