Vintage cardboard(?) ad in original frame.
I bought it over 10 years ago, but I don't know if it's much older than that.
First two pics are me humoring Cocacolakid97, and the last one is the back of the PARTICLEBOARD ad...
Can you do me a favor? This might be a score on your part. Take it out of the fram (if possible), and feel the front and back of the sign. If it it feels like metal (tin) on cardboard, then you got yourself a genuine, faded out WWI era coca cola sign worth maybe 100-150 in the current shape it's in. (Mint these things are worth $750!) Great find, I assume you probably paid less then 50 dollars for it?
Oh, by the way, if it's all made of cardboard with no tin, it's probably a reproduction. My suggeston would be if you take it out of the frame, leave it out. The wood might damage to the metal, plus, this baby is too beautiful to be framed IMO.
Sorry, this sign was also made in the 1920's as well.

Are you sure? I see rust, and indents on the edges like a genuine tin over cardboard sign. Please, humor me, feel the face of it, it should be smooth. The back is cardoard, but the face shouldn't. I guess it could always just be a scan of one...

Is it possible that it's masonite and not cardboard or particle board??
Now THAT is a possibility. How can I tell without taking it apart? The frame is the original frame that came with the ad, and I wouldn't want to ruin it.
Your sign is a poor reproduction of a metal over cardboard sign from the 20's. It was probably produced in the 80's or 90's. Sorry.
Don't be sorry earlycoke. I never thought it was of any real value, just my own whimsical taste. It was cocacolakid97 that started all this ...he just didn't want to believe it wasn't tin...even though I kept saying it was particleboard. lol
