This Antique Chinese Silver Cuff Bracelet is stamped with the chop marks "Wen Yin" meaning "fine silver". It is beautifully made with fine chasing and repoussé work.
It is probably circa mid C19th and may have been one of a pair of wedding bracelets. It features the Qing dynasty Buddhist sequence of the Ashtamangala, a sacred suite of Eight Auspicious Signs.
On the bracelet these start at the clasp and go right to left (anti-clockwise) as follows: Dharmachakra (Wheel), Conch, Dhvaja (Banner), Parasol, Lotus flower, Bumpa (Treasure Vase), Golden Fish, Endless knot.
sure not marked Zu Yin ?
