I just adore this rather large shade. It is 5" tall x 8" dia. with a 4" fitter. It has a thin inner layer of Thea with a layer of clear, then dark blue and silver threads applied over silver papillon spots. The threads are pulled into 6 feathers. The interesting thing about this is the form: round morphing to a square, highly tooled rim. The pink and gold iridescence tops it all off. PN and PG unknown, although I am sure I have seen a dunkelblau & silber decor or two in the pattern books. The fitter rim is nicely ground and polished.

I haven't found a lamp for it yet, but will probably make it into a down-light/pendant. The oil lamp it arrived on was horrid and destined for the trash bin. It was much newer and more cheaply made than the glass!

I love lampshades and this is spectacular. Those blue bands are reminiscint in form of those seen on PG829.

Hi philmac51! Thanks. Yes, I see what you mean about PG829. I will surf around this morning and see if I can find something more definitive.

Well, that didn't take long....! I found a lamp shade (different shape) PN II-2/651 that shows a similar thread pull with all the threads being involved and none left straight at the top. It says...Gre 651a has 6 parts and blue and silver threads for the decor. Now it doesn't mention the silver spotting...or the Thea base.

      Lovely decor Sammy.
May I ask how you display lamp shades? Too beautiful to put away but too many to have on lamps I would have thought.

Thanks racer4four. I have a small nook with shelves. That, and every light in my house has Loetz shades on it, lol!
