My old stuffed Frog (That I need help identifying)

Sorry for the wrong category. This is the most appropriate category I can find about him.

This is my old stuffed frog I obtained when I was around 2-4 years old (Of course, I was that young). I don't remember much more details on him now, but what I do know is that I got him from a yard sale/giveaway from an old man when I lived in New York. At first, I picked Garfield, but a quick mind change got me him instead.

Now, I am currently trying to identify him, like the maker, and the production date/year. Could someone help me? His tag has deteriorated over the years, and all I could find is something about his material in French. Hopefully, someone can identify some details. (I'm trying to give details to a friend)
