Peloton glass doesn't often turn up for sale in Australia, so I was fortunate to win this as the only bidder.
This Victorian glass jug is made from clear glass with a crackle decor, as well as very fine Peloton threads in pink, blue, white, & yellow. It measures 16 cm tall, around 12.5 cm wide across the top (including handle) & 7 cm across the rounded off four sided base.
The jug has an applied clear reeded handle & there is a neatly polished out pontil mark on the base.
In the last photo it is shown with a drinking glass in a very similar decor which has been in my collection for around 15 years. Pleased to have found it a matching companion!
Most likely Bohemian origin.
