Sorry no scout post tonight as I am way behind but I do have some items to catch up on. This one is still yet another maker of high quality die cast cars. This is another Round 2 company which I believe includes Johnny Lightning now.
The 1:1 version was the Mercury 8 as go figure it had a V8. At close to 4,000 pounds it was a fairly heavy car. This would be what is currently called OG aka Original Gangster.
This is still yet again another well detailed model. One feature you may bnote is the 2 piece windshield and 3 piece windshield. No curved glass yet, curved glass would be huge in just a few years. Also of course the white wall tires. Check out how the rear wheels are almost completely covered. Very sleek and streamlined. Plus the very distinctive Mercury grill. The hood opens to reveal a fairly well detailed engine compartment.
Next an exciting day off and hopefully fine some thing for Matchbox Monday.
