Well, I'm not even going to mention the year we're just about to see the back of...I'm sure we've all had our own experiences & seen & heard more than enough about it already.
So, to end on a positive note, I'm posting a couple of really neat & sweet little Kralik vases that arrived today.
I've made so many super buys this year from mostly sticking to buying local, & these are a fine example. Sold as a lot of two, I'm pretty sure that both are by Kralik. What I especially enjoy about them is their diminutive size! With so much glass already on board, I'm always ready to welcome petite gems like these.
The "taller" of the two is an example of the Martele decor, with an iridescent finish & applied feet.
It measures around 10.5 cm tall, 5.8 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & around 6 cm across the thorny, three - footed base.
There is worn gilding on the feet, & I'm not 100% sure if this gilding is original or was added later. Tried scratching it a bit with no result, so maybe it is original? Usually, paint that's been applied later by that strange person who delights in "decorating" things, rubs off quite easily. Anyway, someone might be able to let me know if it's the real deal or not.
The other vase measures only 7 cm tall, 7.3 cm across the three - way crimped top rim, & 4 cm across the base, which has a rough, snapped pontil mark. It is made from clear glass with applied trails that have been accented with gilding. A cute example of the Veined decor, I believe.
Wishing good vibes to all CW folks out there - & may the new year bring good things your way - both to your collections, & in your daily lives...
Thanks,I wish you more lovely arrivals in the New Year ,Marin :)

Happy New Year, Marin. Lovely additions! All in all perhaps they have been together a long time.....
Happy New Year, Marin !.!!!.!
Glass like the year: beautiful but opaque, dips and rises, heavy trails of events criss-crossing the days, some elevation and some grounding, a wobbly finish.
Still, essentially worth experiencing.
HNY Marin.
Thanks so much, jscott03631, & wishing likewise to you!
Thanks also, Peggy, & wishing you all the best for the New Year, hope it brings positive things your way. Thank you so much for your support & thoughtfulness throughout the year as well!
Yes, I also like to think that these little charmers have been keeping each other company over the years...they certainly make a nice pair, & have now joined a diverse Kralik community...
Many thanks, Kevin, & wishing the same to you, too...& thanks also for your support & kindness!
Beautiful thoughts, Karen, & I totally agree with your sentiments!
