      Hi, Asherrick2. :-)

I love that green pottery bird. The crest on it is associated with Saxony, e.g.:

      *snip*

This mid-century green ceramic ashtray with the "Providentiae Memor" or "providence remember" crest representing the German Kingdom of Saxony which existed between 1806-1918.

      *snip*

All the similar ashtrays I found when I was researching this piece had a "Rosenthal-Netter" foil tag on them.

Tantalizingly, here is a very similar bird in a different color (the original listing is gone):

Here's the same crest, color and finish in a ceramic jar:

And hey, here's a vase with the same crest, color and finish right here at CW S&T:

So, Rosenthal-Netter, Raymor Bittossi Londi, mid-century is what we have so far.

This piece really doesn't look at all like your green pottery bird, but the listing gives a bit more background on the manufacturer(s) and artist(s):

      *snip*

Alvino Bagni and Aldo Londi both worked for Bitossi, Rosenthal Netter, and Raymor. Rosenthal Netter was an importer of Italian pottery in the early 50s along with another well known company Raymor.

      More about Rosenthal-Netter:

      *snip*

As I understand it Raymor and Rosenthal Netter were both importers to the USA of Italian ceramics from companies such as Bitossi and others. However, Rosenthal Netter also commissioned pieces especially

      About Aldo Londi:

      *snip*

Aldo Londi was born in Montelupo in 1911, and started working for a ceramics manufacturer when he was 11 years old. After being taken prisoner in South Africa during WW2, he returned to Italy and in 1946 was appointed artistic director at Bitossi. He held that position for over 50 years, and created thousand of designs for vases, jugs, animals, candle stick holders and other objects.

And here's one without the crest in a greenish brown color, a different finish, and more background on Bitossi and Londi:

      *snip*

      Country: Italy, Montelupo Fiorentino
      Year of production: early 70s
      Manufacturer: Bitossi Ceramiche
Manufacturer, history: As the descendant of a long, long line of Tuscan ceramic manufacturers, Guido Bitossi opened his own ceramics workshop in Montelupo near Florence in 1921. After the Second World War, master ceramist Aldo Londi (1911 - 2003) became creative director of Bitossi Ceramiche and remained in this position for more than fifty years. His collection Rimini Blu (1955 - 1965) is his most famous work. This iconic mid-century series features more than 150 designs, including bowls, vases, jugs, and animal figures, all of them in vibrant blue and embossed with abstract motifs and shapes. Although blue was not the only color Bitossi favored, it was closely associated with brand identity. The collection is still produced today and collected by ceramic lovers.

Aha, more pictures of the Remini Blu version at this Worthpoint listing:

      *snip*

This listing is for a beautiful bird box designed by Aldo Longi for Bitossi. This bird is from the Rimini Blu collection of ceramics, which was created in the early fifties. It measures approximately 8.5" long, 6" high, and 5" wide. On the top lid, there is a silver plaque which reads "Providentiae Memor" which translates to "Providence Remember". The plaque appears to be original to the piece and possible composed of sterling silver (no guarantees here, but it looks like real silver). The underside of the piece is marked "73/11 B" and impressed "Italy".
