1893 Seth Thomas adamantine mantle clock - after

Here is the after and finale post to the project. In total, the restoration took my about 3 and 1/2 hours of non - stop cleaning, scrubbing and polishing. I first got as much of the marks off of the clock as i could using 0000 steel wool and mineral spirits. I then used a furniture spray cleaner on the whole clock, going over every surface multiple times with a paper towel and then buffing with a microfiber towel. I then scraped all the old layers of wax that was built up off of the edge of the glass door for the clock. After scraping, i then went back and polished it up with steel wool and wd - 40, and some brass cleaner. I repeated this process on the brass face of the clock as well. Finally, I used a professional furniture wax on all the surfaces of the clock. I think it cleaned up pretty nice!
