As I am getting more familiar with these Lea Stein brooches from mid to late 20th in France, I discovered that their fabrication was more diverse than expected, in fact I felt this bow was a fake, in spite of the right marked butterfly clasp.
I questioned the seller, found another seller who was a collector and also sold these bows, they all swore it was legit, and finally I went on the Facebook group with savvy LS collectors, and they proved to me that these bow are older products, authentic, and were made in various textile designs, molded in 2 sizes.
So I had a couple apologies to make, for those sellers I quizzed about them. I did buy one. Just different from the more substantial layered type. Live and learn.... and keep an open mind.
Gorgeous patterned bow, what a wonderful vintage Lea Stein brooch
