Mid-century Japanese Tansu

I found this large tansu today at a used furniture store near my place. They had no idea what they had and i got it for a song! It's so beautifully constructed with no nails, just perfect japanese carpentry at it's finest! I think it is mid-century, although i don't know enough about Japanese furniture to be sure. It could be a lot older. The glass is nice and wavy. ??
