Here is a nice and rare point of sale advertising sign from the 1940s/1950s. This is a lighted sign that is equipped with a clamp to fasten it to a shelf or counter top. It contains a single flourescent tube to light up the front. The sign is for Time/Sports Illustrated and contains a strip of the latest publications which could be quickely swapped out as new editions were printed. The first two cover images are from 1956 showing Marilyn Monroe, and Prince Philip of England. I'm not up to snuff on my Historical images, so maybe someone can fill in the rest. In any case, this sign is made of steel, and has had an amateur paint job instead of a proper restoration, but still very interesting!
What a terrible picture of Philip, if it is him.
