I was so happy to be able to add this lovely little Fritz Heckert vase to my collection. It is only 3-1/2" (8.9cm) tall, but full of detail; the glass is a pale blue-purple that has a strong purple iridescence, and it is finely enameled with sprigs of honeysuckle and an image of the god Pan, or a faun. I think I have always liked Pan after reading The Wind in the Willows as a child (one of my favorite books!); he was the god of the wild, and helped rescue a lost baby otter in the book. I added the Pelargonium flowers to my photos to help give a sense of the scale of this little piece.

Hi Sean, thanks so much! I just took a look at your vase - wonderful! But I do think yours is more likely another maker - perhaps Harrach. It’s a great piece!
