Not to often that I find a Boy Scout shirt with all the original patches but here is one. The patches are the type used from 1955-1964. The shirt of course is also from this era. All the patches and the shirt show the same amount of wear so I am fairly sure it is all original. I did add the service stars, the yellow is from Cub Scouts and the green for one year in Boy Scouts.
Starting on the left shoulder is the City Stripe along with the troop number. Also the Patrol Leader position patch making him the alpha male of the patrol.
On the chest on the right is a camp patch. That was the one area the uniform could be personalized as any camp patch could be worn. Left side 2nd Class Scout rank patch. Pretty good to be Patrol Leader while still a 2nd class Scout. Also the Arrow of Light award which is a Cub Scout patch which is allowed on the Boy Scout uniform.
Wrapping it up on the right shoulder is the Hawk Patrol Patch. I don't think I had that one .
Not sure what is coming next week. Be sure and check back for the next Saturday Evening Scout Post.
Great Scout uniform, very cool to find one with all the patches, love the hawk
Thank you very much Newfld.
