Can anyone tell me more about her. What I do I know..French. Bought at antique shop in France 1981. Was heating shop. Now our main heat and cook piece. Brass hinges with french lis shape(it wouldn't let me write full) Has #7 stamped in cast under tap spout. Thank you

It took me a minute to realize that what you say the CW software wouldn't let you write was fleur-de-lis.
Are there no other markings anywhere on the stove besides the number 7 under the tap spout?
Not a single mark other then the #7 stamped in the cast under water jacket spout. We've been using her (Josie) for 2 years now as main heat and cooking. I clean and "spa" her every sesional shut down and start up so I know every square inch of her. I am also the one that hand reatored her to function again.
She was shut down for almost 10 years but was also the main heat prior to that for what I'm guessing is her entire life prior. I know the gent who bought her in France at the antique shop. He even named the shop. I tried contact but there is a language issue Also...he bought her in 1981.
Casswilk, That is really curious that there are no marks anywhere besides the number 7. Perhaps it was a prototype.

Regardless, it's beautiful, and obviously you love it, seeing as you've named it, and give it regular 'spa' treatments. :-)
