The majority of my collection focuses on Victorian & Art Nouveau art glass, but I always have space for an interesting example of Tango glass.
And this one is definitely interesting - it looks like a party in glass, frozen at the moment when the confetti is flying & the fireworks are exploding.
The vase is made from three layers of cased glass, clear over a rainbow of spatter, with a white interior.
It measures 18.2 cm tall, 12.5 cm across the four way crimped top rim, & 7 cm across the base.
In classic Tango style, the wavy top rim has an applied black crest, to add a touch of formality to all the fun.
No markings on the base, typical of Tango era glass found within Australia, although there is "shelf wear" commensurate with age.
In perfect condition.
Czech origin, 1920s - 1930s era.
Outstanding! Your collection is just over the top beautiful!!!
Welz shape and decor. Love these.
Thanks so much, jscott0363!
Thanks also, Wow22!
I was thinking this was possibly Welz, but just hadn't handled a piece like this before. The spatter is super vibrant - the yellow is neon - bright.
Overall, it just oozes quality & style!
You're on a Welz roll...

I have seen it more frequently in the blue/turquoise harlequin spatter.
I guess I am! Six pieces of Welz in around two weeks is a record for me...
Thanks also for the link - it's just like mine!
When I saw this on eBayAU, I thought it was pretty cool. I like spatter glass & combined with the Tango styling just gives it that extra edge...
Just keep them coming!
I'll keep on doing my best, Peggy! :-)
