    Does anyone recognize this. There are 2 of them about 7 inches tall and kinda heavy maybe made of pewter or something. I held it in my hand and a little of the red color was left on my palm. Its not made of wood. I guess bookends. Thanks to everyone!

      A photo of the bottom would be helpful.

      They look like modern decorator pieces-- often resin.

      Reminds me of an O.C.C. (Oklahoma Casting Co.) piece which are all made of high quality resin and hand painted. Are there any markings such as that on this piece?

      HI, kacad. :-)

      Perhaps they're supposed to represent Old King Cole of nursery rhyme fame:

      *snip*

      “Old King Cole” Lyrics
      Modern Version

      Old King Cole was a merry old soul
      And a merry old soul was he;
      He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl
      And he called for his fiddlers three.

      Im still looking for it on the internet. I checked google images, pinterest, ebay. and all of the
      suggestions from the commentors. Nothing solid so far. Thanks for all the help.

      I searched thru the Schiffer Bookend Book and this isn't shown in there. I have a few OK Casting (OCC) pieces and this is so reminiscent of the OCC pieces.

      So far I think tbe previous poster is correct. It looks more than likely to be "old king cole" I just need to find the maker.

      Your photo of the back shows telltale signs of a resin piece.

      Decorative things like this are sold at hobby lobby throughout the US.
