Oh, dear. I drive a pickup truck, don't I...and look what happens. A couple blocks away from home on the way there from work today, nice sunny afternoon, I glance off to the side going through an intersection and get a glimpse of "waitaminnit -- is that a . . . out by the curb?" And so right around the block I went, and right into the back of my truck it went, and good gawd this thing ain't helping me clean out the carport in the *least*...?? <lolol>

A few quick snapshots here in the shady sunlight aren't very good, but get the idea across -- it is a ZENITH COBRA-MATIC model H-880 (I think?) with chassis 8H20 inside, along with nearly all its original parts in mostly intact condition. There was even a bonus stack of a couple dozen LP records discovered inside its lower cabinet -- some classic old R&B and comedy discs. COOL!!!

The furniture shows its share of dings, scratches, and water marks and is also missing its little outer door knobs. Its record player is missing its cartridge (but check out the "COBRA" tonearm!) and maybe another little bit or two and its speaker cone and grille cloth on that side are torn, other than that it appears remarkably complete and in great (if dusty) condition. No idea if any of it still works of course -- I wouldn't attempt to plug it in even if its power cord (which is there!) wasn't a crispy critter...

My my my, but the stuff other people throw out...now, what on earth am **I** gonna do with it? (storage locker prolly, too big for anywhere in the house) I haven't even had a moment to begin to research it to find out anything about it yet...? <groan>
